This model of the Paul Reed Smith’s SE Series of guitars were imported from Korea. PRS developed this series after Carlos Santana requested a high-quality guitar that just about anybody could afford. The PRS model SE EG was made in Korea from 2003-2005. It was made in 3 colors, antique white (this one), metallic blue and metallic red. They made some in 2006 model year but they were all black.
The SE EG was one of PRS’s first guitar models with an “S Style” body, sculpted to really fit the body. It is the earlier SSS pickup layout. Very cool combo of Stratocaster scale length and pickup layout, but with PRS signature styling and mahogany body/set neck construction. This model is, like most of our guitars, a unique version of that model.

Notes about this specific guitar:
This unit is not original. As you can see in the pictures, the tuners were upgraded to locking tuners. The original had PRS non-locking tuners. We always look underneath the pickguard to determine if it is original, and we found the “AllParts logo on the back. (See pictures) I don’t know if PRS used that part with a 3rd party logo, but it looks original. The solder and pots look professionally done, with wiring neatly organized. We have not had a view of any other EG so we don’t know what pickups that were originally installed look like and thus cannot determine if these are original.
It plays beautifully, and it has a warm sweet sound, as well as a unique “strat” zing.
It has a mahogany body with arm carve and pickguard, mahogany neck with 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, 25 in. scale, moon inlays, wide fat neck carve, PRS tremelo or stop tailpiece, Upgraded Locking tuners, S/S/S pickup configuration, five-way blade pickup selector, 1 volume and 1 tone controls. A case or high quality gig bag will be included.
