Flaws:

This guitar has a few paint flaws. We decided to put this on-line with the flaws prior to spending time fixing them. Note one at the bottom edge, and one on the back upper area. After a month on-line, if not sold, we will pull it for repair….. and charge more….

Thru-Body or Thru-Bridge Strings?

There is no definitive way to determine what is best but there are physics involved, so they are “different’. Here are some thoughts, gleaned from web telecaster communities…

On a thru-body configuration, the strings press/pull the bridge towards the body, thereby exerting greater pressure on the saddles, a deep angle, which would generate more sustain. On a thru-body the bridge would sit relatively stable from just string tension, without screws. This would also increase the tension of the strings, giving more “twang”, but making them harder to bend.

On a thru-bridge, the strings pull the whole bridge away from the body (it is only held in place by the mounting screws which would theoretically decrease sustain. This would also indicate less tension on the strings, thus making it easier to bend….
