The 1/2 Moon “Bullet” Squier Stratocasters are a mixed lot….. These were made in Korea and China and were made with different specifications, and thus different hardware and wood.
This has an “NK” serial number, and was made in Korea. This guitar has the basic dimensions of an Affinity Stratocaster, including a 1.50″ width at the top wing. These guitars were more handmade than mass produced, so they can be very different sounding instruments even from the same year. It is not surprising to find some incredibly sweet pickups in these Korean guitars. We thought this guitar had a sweet set.
This was one of our earliest acquisitions, and finally put through our inspection and refresh process. The body is like new, with a small chip on the bottom, and the aged knobs and pickup covers make it a unique looker. All of our Stratocasters will come with a Tremolo bar and a cover for the back access panel, unless noted. All used Stratocasters will come with a used, but not abused, gigbag.

We never know if these older Stratocasters are authentic or not, so we always look under the covers to see what pickups are there. This guitar has pickups typically found in older MIM Fender guitars; dual magnets on poles that are 2″ apart center to center, which is different than typical Squier pickups.
Our Refurbish Process
First we inspect the instrument for any physical or functional issues or damage. If the instrument has too much damage or does not meet minimum requirements, it is disassembled for parts and recycled; if it meets basic requirements it is refurbished. This is what we do:
