Traveler CL3BE Concert Spruce 3/4 Scale Acoustic-Electric Bass Guitar

This is the CL-3BE Acoustic Bass, a valued member of Traveler Guitar’s expanding hollow-body acoustic line. This was their first truly acoustic bass ever. The CL-3BE is the fraternal twin to their tremendously popular CL-3E acoustic 6-string. It is a beautiful instrument and is no longer in production.

Like its fraternal twin brother, the CL-3BE packs some pretty serious punch for such a relatively small package. This head-turning, 3/4 size acoustic/electric bass features mahogany back and sides and a solid spruce top. It also has lower cutaway and upper beveled top to allow for maximum comfort and playability.

Description

Features that make this bass a unique investment and an amazing instrument:

Contoured Edge with Wood Binding

The CL-3BE features a comfort rounded edge where your arm rests and wood binding and inlays throughout.

Compact Headstock and Body

This guitar is only 35″ long due to its compact headstock and body. You can take it anywhere….

Preamp with Tuner & Headphone Output

My favorite feature is the integrated headphone amp with auxiliary input, and tuner. Plug in your mobile device to play along with backing tracks through headphones. It’s a magnificent practice bass, and a beautiful travel companion.

Refurbished Instruments

In addition to recovering, rebuilding, and refurbishing intermediate priced guitars and folk instruments from the last 30 years, we also sell factory authorized refurbished instruments, sourced through one of the largest instrument recyclers in the US. These are a great deal for anyone that wants a quality like new instrument with a limited budget. You don’t get an equivalent you get an original.

This is a professionally refurbished instrument. They mostly come from the factory, or from large dealers. Some instruments have flaws, like a paint glitch, while some need simple repairs, not visible, like repairing a lifting bridge or fretboard. Some have a repair that is visible but makes the instrument good again, like an acoustic with a cracked soundboard that needs repaired. Sometimes it gets rejected because the color is not quite right, or it was sold with accessories, and the factory ran out of accessories.

Unlike a new instrument, or typical used one, this instrument was completely checked out, and tested by factory authorized skilled Instrument Technicians (Luthiers). After it was inspected at the refurbisher by experts, then repaired and/or verified as “like new”, it was distributed to dealers like me, to get to smart customers like you. You get a great, as-new instrument, at a great price, less than discounted new! Why buy a cheaper knock-off when you can have a Genuine Traveler for the same investment.

If there is any visible repair or flaw on any instrument we sell, we note it here.

This instrument has no visible repairs. This specific guitar was rejected because they ran out of gig-bags, and they deemed it an orphan. The factory sent it to the refurbisher, who inspected and released it for sale. We found a quality orphan gig-bag that is included to make it complete.

By law, since it was handled after it was released, the instrument is marked as “Used” by the Refurbisher with a light stamp on the headstock, and assigned a new sticker serial number.

I offer my instruments at a fair price, but open the option for a best offer. I always reject lowball offers, but always consider honest ones. Try it; I may be in a good mood today!
