Vintage Guitars are made in Asia, and distributed mostly in the UK. They are available in the US as well, but not well known. They are a quality made brand with guitars ranging in price from 200 to 2000.00 USD.
This guitar is their small body, big voice travel guitar: the model VTG100N. THis particular guitar has a finish flaw as noted in the pictures but it is barely noticeable. What you will notice is the quality materials and the great sound….
This small bodied acoustic guitar is incredibly well built. It needs to be because there is some pretty strong direct competition. The Vintage VTG100N Travel Guitar takes the likes of Martin and Taylor head on. Thanks to a lower price without sacrificing quality it really is a contender. Smaller bodied, short scale acoustic guitars are popular at the moment. They offer increased comfort and portability. The VTG100N gets around the lack of body size sonically by featuring a solid spruce top. This makes a big difference to the tone of the instrument. It sounds rich and lively. The overall finish of the instrument is that of a natural satin. This avoids the stickiness associated with gloss. It also lets the wood really resonate. The Vintage VTG100 is a good step up for juniors from the cheaper laminated models. For those looking to improve the tone even further, sticking a set of heavy guitar strings should give it a boost. It ships with its own padded gig bag.

This is a factory authorized refurbished guitar. It was inspected and determined to have only one issue…a paint flaw. See pictures and explanation below for details.
Refurbished Instruments
In addition to recovering, rebuilding, and refurbishing intermediate priced guitars and folk instruments from the last 30 years, we also sell factory authorized refurbished instruments, sourced through one of the largest instrument recyclers in the US. These are a great deal for anyone that wants a quality like new instrument with a limited budget. You don’t get an equivalent you get an original.
This is a professionally refurbished instrument. They mostly come from the factory, or from large dealers. Some instruments have flaws, like a paint glitch, while some need simple repairs, not visible, like repairing a lifting bridge or fretboard. Some have a repair that is visible but makes the instrument good again, like an acoustic with a cracked soundboard that needs repaired. Sometimes it gets rejected because the color is not quite right, or it was sold with accessories, and the factory ran out of accessories.
Unlike a new instrument, or typical used one, this instrument was completely checked out, and tested by factory authorized skilled Instrument Technicians (Luthiers). After it was inspected at the refurbisher by experts, then repaired and/or verified as “like new”, it was distributed to dealers like me, to get to smart customers like you. You get a great, as-new instrument, at a great price, less than discounted new! Why buy a cheaper knock-off when you can have a Genuine Austin for the same investment.
If there is any visible repair or flaw on any instrument we sell, we note it here.
This instrument has finish flaws, on the top, as seen in the pictures. It was not deemed fit for the new market and was sent to the refurbisher. It works and sounds great….but it has a flaw.
By law, since it was handled after it was released, the instrument is marked as “Used” by the Refurbisher with a light stamp on the headstock, and assigned a new sticker serial number.
I offer my instruments at a fair price, but open the option for a best offer. I always reject lowball offers, but always consider honest ones. Try it; I may be in a good mood today!
